Picking Up Parts for the Shop

There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t need more parts for the shop. I suppose that makes sense considering we are a mechanic shop anyway, and repairing cars (while consuming parts) is part of the game. Where most major cities just have their parts delivered by the local parts shop, we somehow don’t have one, so every day one of us has to go pick them up. Just two weeks ago Tony ruined his knees trying to load some tire rims into the truck. They all fell off the shelf onto him and so far we don’t know if he will ever be back to work.

Lastly, I hate to complain, but I didn’t sign up to be a delivery boy. Seriously, there is nothing worse than applying for a job, getting it, and then doing something that you never signed up to do. I should be thankful for having the work, but what happens if I get hurt so I can’t provide for my family?  Yes, working here just doesn’t seem like a great life choice.
